To know Alicia Burton is to know that being a mother of her two daughters was her world. The sudden loss of Alicia on May 19th to cancer has left her family and friends heartbroken.

Alicia’s legacy is the role she valued above all else - devoted mother to Katelyn (17) and Khloe (3) alongside the love of her life, Tim Halberg. They were her world as she was to them. Her smile was never brighter than when they were near and without her, they have a long journey ahead.

Tim is now a single father working hard to make ends meet while providing support to his family. He vows to raise Katelyn and Khloe the way Alicia would have wanted - with a big caring and loving heart and strong family values, just like their amazing mother. Tim is a Veteran who served one tour in Operation Iraqi Freedom and one tour in Operation Enduring Freedom, so he knows how to fight and get through hard times. This is going to be his biggest challenge yet.

December of 2020, Alicia was diagnosed with skin cancer that spread to her brain and lungs. After being diagnosed, Alicia underwent surgery to remove tumors from her brain. During her battle with cancer, she was not able to work. Unfortunately, bills accumulated even with Tim working full time. She had a clear brain scan in June and then on May 17th, it was discovered that the tumors in Alicia's brain had come back and were inoperable. The doctors did everything they could to allow Alicia to pass peacefully.

By contributing to this GoFundMe, this fundraiser would be used to help support Alicia's two daughters Katelyn and Khloe. This would include daycare expenses for Khloe; educational and camps for Katelyn and Khloe to participate in, and any day to day expenses the kids could have.
