Support the Hahn Family Following the Palisades Fire

Shari & Jason Hahn (my wonderful sister and fabulous brother-in-law) and their three awesome kids, Spencer (8), Ryann (5), and Zoey (3), moved to the Palisades five years ago (and to LA ten years ago) and loved the community, their friends, and their life there, instantly. It was the "home" they were looking for.

They evacuated their home earlier this week on a moment's notice, taking nothing. They thought their house was destroyed, but they were "lucky" to learn it was spared. So now it stands somewhat alone, amidst the destruction. They haven't been able to return to the area and, like so many, don't know what comes next.

So many of our great friends and family have asked how to help those whose lives were turned upside down (and worse) this week. The truth is, none of them know what's ahead. Meal trains don't have a destination and clothing can't be shipped based on the constant shifting of locations...

For now, for the Hahn family, love and friendship is the priority. They are so grateful for the support that surrounds them. Let's surely send more of that!

For those looking to do something more, I'm starting this GoFundMe simply so we can help out with a meal or two, a hotel night or two, and/or some toys and clothes in the short term. I'm doing it for them and I'm doing it for the rest of us - who just want to find a way to help.
