As many of you may know, Ruaidhrí Óg Ó Conchubhair passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on the 16th of February 2026.

Ruaidhrí Óg was a devoted husband to Linda and a loving father to their three children, Caoimhe, Rory Eoin, and Neasa. He was the center of their world—a dad who provided constant support, guidance, and a deep sense of security. In a single moment, everything changed. Linda is now facing every parent’s worst nightmare: raising her children alone while carrying the heavy weight of profound grief.

From a young age, Ruaidhrí Óg could be found working in the family business and the local shop, greeting neighbours with a smile and a warmth that made everyone feel welcome. He grew up woven into the fabric of the area, becoming a familiar face for the local community, customers and visitors.

In recent years, that sense of giving back to the community only deepened and Ruaidhrí Óg played an integral role in numerous community development fundraisers and initiatives, always stepping forward when something needed to be done. Whether he was organising, volunteering, or simply lending a hand, he gave back without hesitation.

His passing has left a profound sadness in the hearts of those who knew him. While the loss is immense, the community has already begun to rally around Linda and the children, reflecting the same spirit of support that he showed daily.

This fundraiser has been created to help ease the practical burdens of everyday life for a young family. Every contribution, no matter the size, is a way of honouring Ruaidhrí Óg’s legacy of kindness and community.
