It is with heavy hearts that we share the sudden and tragic passing of Brother Luc Massie, who was killed while preforming his work as a Conductor on train 2132-11 in the early morning hours of September 12, 2026.

We all wish Luc had been given the opportunity to push PF5 on his final tour of duty. Sadly, that opportunity never came. It is a heartbreaking reminder of how suddenly life can change.

This is a devastating loss for Luc’s wife, Rachel, his parents, siblings, extended family, friends, and all those who had the privilege of knowing Luc and working alongside him over the past four years.

Luc had celebrated two important milestones in his life in the weeks leading up to this tragedy. On September 01st, Luc and Rachel were married in Las Vegas, and on September 7th, Luc celebrated his 30th birthday.

Luc was always a pleasure to work with. He was hardworking, diligent, loyal, respectful, and intelligent. While he could sometimes be quiet and reserved, those who knew him appreciated his kind nature and the genuine respect he showed to those around him. Luc will be deeply missed by everyone who had the opportunity to work with him at the Smiths Falls terminal.

In the wake of this devastating loss, we are coming together to support Rachel and the rest of Luc’s family as they face the difficult road ahead. The funds raised through this campaign will help with bills, funeral and other expenses, day-to-day living costs, and provide some financial stability as Rachel and Luc’s family navigate life without him.
