Supporting the family of Badsha Zaman

Hi Everyone,

My name is Golam and I am the son of Badsha Zaman. On August 9th, my dad suddenly passed away from what doctors assume to be a heart attack. It's been quite shocking to the entire family because although he was an active person and someone who was a ball of energy no matter what kind of company he was around, he always seemed so invincible. If you would've asked me two weeks ago, I would've said he would outlive all of us. His sudden passing leaves us in the most unprepared of circumstances.

My father was a kind, generous, and hardworking person. He was the sole breadwinner for the family, supporting my mother and I. He was also supporting his brothers and sisters in Bangladesh. When he passed away, I found out he loaned several people in the community money to either invest in their business, pay towards a down payment for a house, or any other help people requested. His generosity came without a second thought or any form of documentation to record these loans.

We are left with his funeral and burial expenses, along with rent, and day-to-day living costs. His sudden death left my mom and me in an unexpected and difficult situation. I have never asked for support from people, but I do think I need everyone's support if they can now. The funds would be used towards rent, utilities, food, and basic necessities until we as a family can get back on our feet. Although I have a full-time job, my mom was entirely dependent on my dad for not only financial support but also as a caretaker. As an only child, the immense responsibility of taking care of my mom falls on my shoulders. Any amount of support from friends and family is greatly appreciated as we grieve the loss of my father and try to navigate through this difficult time.
