2020 has been a difficult year, but a shining light in the Caffrey-McConnell family has been the expected arrival of their identical twin girls, Willow and Ivy.  Three year old River was excited to be a big sister times-two, and Angela and Cash were preparing for the change from being a family of three to a family of five.

 

On Sunday, October 18, complications led Angela to being admitted into the hospital and having an emergency C-section at 32 weeks.  Sadly, Ivy didn't make it and Willow survived with complications.  A team of doctors took Willow to the NICU an hour away soon after birth, leaving Angela and Cash grieving over the devastating loss of their sweet Ivy. 

 

Willow has had two blood transfusions and is on breathing tubes to help her lungs expand enough to continue breathing on their own.  She is a strong little girl and is already proving herself to be a fighter, but she is not out of the woods yet and has some tough times ahead.
