Hi everyone, I’m Kathy Langley, sister-in-law of Tammie and Robbie Paulin for 40 years. ❤️ Over the years, I’ve seen firsthand the love, strength, and kindness they’ve poured into everyone around them — always the first to help others, even during their own difficult times.

Tammie has been facing more than anyone should have to — navigating deep loss while trying to rebuild her life and manage the many challenges that have followed. While our family has been helping as much as we can, this is one of those times when it truly takes a village.

If you know Tammie, you know her heart — she’s strong and so caring, but even the strongest need support sometimes.

Story:

Imagine losing both of your parents, then your husband (in the last 3 years) and facing complete financial distress. This is the reality for My Sister-(IL) Tammie (Langley) Paulin. On August 20, 2025, she lost her husband of 40 years after a courageous five-year battle with colon cancer.

2020: Colon cancer diagnosis; first major surgery; 6 months of chemotherapy.

2022: Cancer returned; second surgery with ileostomy; 6 more months of chemo.

2023-2025: Multiple hospitalizations, kidney failure, dialysis, more chemo. July 2025 Hospitalized for complications; moved to hospice where he passed.

Tammie gave her everything to care for him—sacrificing work, time and savings to support her family.

Adding to her heartbreak, During Robbie's illness her Parents were living 5 hours north of her while mother fought dementia until her passing in 2023 and her father with congestive heart failure passed in 2024 (she was constantly driving back and forth between Lake City & home depending who was worse off and scared she'd not be there for them when the time came) but GOD heard her prayers and she was by their side's when All THREE took their last breath

Through it all, her employer has been incredibly supportive, keeping her position open despite minimal hours. Tammy has returned to work, struggling to make it through each day and adjust to her life without Robbie.

Life insurance returned their premiums (he was still within wait period before coverage was in place) leaving funeral expenses to be covered

Their home now has severe deferred maintenance and time sensitive repairs are needed for health and safety, adding to financial strain.
