Our dear friends are facing a really difficult season, and I wanted to share their story in hopes of surrounding them with love and support. Their precious daughter, Zoe, is preparing for a major surgery that will take place out of state. According to her doctors, Zoe will likely need to stay in the hospital for about a month after surgery while she recovers.

While Zoe is in the hospital, her parents will be by her side every step of the way — helping her heal, comforting her, making sure she feels safe and loved, and doing everything they can to keep her spirits up. At the same time, they’ll be juggling time apart from their younger daughter, Evelyn, finding creative ways to take turns traveling home so she still gets time with Mom and Dad too.This means both parents will need to take time off work and spend long stretches away from home. Evelyn is going to miss her big sister so much during this time!

As you can imagine, this comes with a lot of emotional and financial stress — time off work, travel expenses, meals, lodging, and just the everyday costs that don’t stop while life is on hold. I know they would never ask for help themselves, but I also know how much they give to others.

Our hope is that this fundraiser will help ease some of that burden so they can focus fully on what matters most — helping Zoe heal and keeping their family together through this tough time.
