Supporting Survivors of Intimate Partner Violence

We are BEYOND BRAZEN, INC a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting survivors of Intimate Partner Violence (IPV).

Beyond Brazen empowers women to boldly reclaim and rebuild their lives after surviving IPV. We provide information to the community and offer individuals mental, physical, emotional, and financial support. Our vision is to create a community where women have unfettered access to the resources they need to heal from intimate partner violence and end the cycle of abuse.

Our approach is driven by compassion, empowerment, and education. Through awareness, support, and collaboration, we strive to create a world where respect and equality prevail over violence and discrimination.

How will these funds be used?

The funds raised through this first event will facilitate the ability to provide the following services to enable survivors to courageously rebuild and reclaim their lives.

1. Mental Health Services & Life Skills Coaching

Beyond Brazen is committed to ensuring that every survivor has access to services that will support them on their journey of reconnecting with themselves, others, and the world.

-Every $100 that is raised towards this effort, goes towards a survivors counseling session or life coaching service.

2. Financial Support

Beyond Brazen understands that a major barrier to exiting an abusive relationship is having the financial support to do so . Money raised in this department provides a bridge for women to get out

These funds are distributed for security deposits, mortgage payments, vehicle expenses, groceries, gas, and other essential financial needs.

3. Retreat Scholarships

In the summer of 2024, Beyond Brazen will be offering scholarships for our annual survivors retreat.

Retreats focused on healing from intimate partner violence serve as vital community-building platforms because they create safe and empathetic spaces for survivors to connect and share their experiences. These retreats foster a sense of belonging and understanding among survivors, helping to combat the isolation often associated with such trauma. Through collective healing and support, survivors can regain their self-esteem, rebuild their lives, and contribute to a stronger, more compassionate community dedicated to ending intimate partner violence.

4. Community Education

Awareness is the first step toward prevention.

Beyond Brazen provides community education opportunities focused on developing trauma informed responses, understanding intergenerational trauma, and preventing and responding to intimate partner violence, including teen dating violence.

By fostering a deep understanding of the signs, impacts, and underlying causes of intimate partner violence, we empower individuals to recognize and address it early, potentially averting future harm. Moreover, a well-informed community creates a supportive environment where survivors feel heard, validated, and less isolated, ultimately accelerating the healing process for those affected by this deeply traumatic experience.
