AID AGAINST BOLIVIA'S PRISON INJUSTICE
Donation protected
Imagine the anguish of being incarcerated for a crime you committed without a fair trial. In Santa Cruz, Bolivia, this grim reality is faced by numerous individuals, including those whom I, Margarita Morro Beltran, have been supporting emotionally for the past two years.
Consider the case of a young woman who, after enduring years of abuse from her father, tragically took his life. Despite her desperate circumstances, she couldn't afford legal representation and has been serving a 30-year sentence without parole for the past 14 years.
Justice should be unbiased and accessible to everyone, regardless of financial status. That's why I've been collaborating with a small group of solicitors who provide pro bono assistance. Yet, there's more to be done. We need a committed full-time team, a physical office, and resources for comprehensive legal counsel and emotional support.
Support us in rectifying these injustices. I'm striving to raise £60,000 to establish an office, cover rent/utilities, and pay a reduced fee for permanent legal counsel. Your contribution, no matter how small, can make a significant difference in someone's life. Please donate today and help us continue this vital work.
