My name is Kimberly Hoch and I am
a close family friend. Here's a GoFundMe for Sia Yambire:
*In Memory of Sia Yambire: Supporting His Family and Legacy*
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved friend and vendor, Sia Yambire. Sia's infectious smile, warmth, and generosity touched countless lives in Sebastopol and beyond.
For over 30 years, Sia worked tirelessly to support artisans in Northern Ghana, funding small businesses, digging wells, and providing medical supplies to those in need. His presence at the Sebastopol Farmers Market since 2004 brought joy and beauty to our community.
Sia is survived by his 7 children and 4 grandchildren. As we mourn his loss, we want to come together to support his family during this difficult time.
*Donations will go towards:*
- Supporting Sia's family, including his children and grandchildren
- Continuing Sia's legacy of supporting artisans and communities in Ghana
*Join us in celebrating Sia's life:*
- Attend a memorial gathering on Sunday, December 15th, at 1:00 PM, where we'll take a group photo with our baskets to send to Sia's family and the weavers in Ghana.
- Share your favorite memories and stories of Sia in the comments below.
Let's come together to honor Sia's memory and continue his legacy of love, kindness, and generosity.
*Rest in Peace, dear Sia. Your impact will never be forgotten.*
