Shane Hilton recently suffered a ruptured Achilles tendon, a painful and debilitating injury that will keep him off work for around nine months while he recovers. Although surgery isn’t required, the injury still means a long period of immobility, rehabilitation, and recovery, during which Shane will be unable to return to work.
During this time, Shane will be relying on Statutory Sick Pay (SSP), which unfortunately doesn’t come close to covering the normal day-to-day costs of family life. This sudden change in circumstances has placed real financial pressure on Shane and his family at a time when their focus should simply be on recovery.
This fundraiser has been set up to help support Shane and his family in the short term, assisting with everyday essentials such as household bills, groceries, and other basic expenses while he is unable to earn his usual income.
Any support, no matter how big or small, will make a genuine difference and will be hugely appreciated by Shane and his family. If you’re unable to donate, sharing the fundraiser would also mean a lot.
