A short time ago, our dear friend and coworker Sara experienced the devastating loss of her husband. As she and her children were still grieving and learning how to navigate life without him, their world was turned upside down once again.

Her only son has recently been diagnosed with leukemia and is now undergoing treatment at Dana-Farber. He will be there for at least the next month. During this time, Sara and his sister Liz have been traveling back and forth, often staying in hotels when they can, just to be by his side.

Between medical care, travel, lodging, meals, and time away from work, the financial strain is quickly adding up—on top of an already overwhelming emotional burden.

This fundraiser is meant to help ease some of that weight so Sara can focus on what matters most: being present for her children and supporting her son through treatment. Any contribution—no matter the size—will go toward travel expenses, lodging, meals, and everyday costs during this difficult time.
