Supporting Samson

Hi my name is Charlotte - I never imagined I would be writing something like this.

In October 2022, my sister and her family’s world was turned upside down when Samson was diagnosed with Stage 4 neuroblastoma, an aggressive childhood cancer. At that time, Samson was just 19 months old. What followed was a relentless and heartbreaking journey through intense chemotherapy, radiotherapy, a stem cell transplant, and immunotherapy — treatments no child should ever have to endure.

After everything Samson fought through, the family finally reached a moment of hope. In May 2024, he completed treatment with no evidence of disease. It felt like they could finally breathe again.

But heartbreak has struck once more.

In January 2026, Samson sadly relapsed. Now just 4 years old he has already endured more than most people face in a lifetime.

Since then, the family has been thrown straight back into the nightmare they thought they had escaped. Samson has just completed his first round of chemotherapy and immunotherapy, and once again faces months of treatment, hospital stays, and uncertainty — all while showing extraordinary courage beyond his years.

While Samson is at the centre of this fight, his siblings are living through it too. They are navigating fear, disrupted routines, time apart from their parents, and the emotional weight of watching their brother battle cancer again. Supporting them — emotionally, practically, and with as much normality as possible — is vital, but incredibly hard under these circumstances.

This fight takes an enormous emotional and physical toll, and it brings a significant financial burden. With one or both parents needing to step away from work to care for Samson and support the rest of the family, costs quickly add up — travel to specialist hospitals, accommodation, everyday living expenses, and the many unseen costs that come with long-term childhood cancer care.

Right now, their focus must be on being present for all their children, not worrying about how they will cope financially.

We are asking for help to support my sister and her family through this devastating relapse. Any funds raised will go directly towards:

Supporting Samson through ongoing treatment

Ensuring his siblings receive the care, stability, and emotional support they need

Travel and accommodation for hospital treatment

Covering lost income and essential living costs

Reducing financial stress so the family can focus on being together

No donation is too small. Every contribution, share, or message of support helps lift a weight from their shoulders and allows them to focus on what matters most — caring for their children.

If you’re able to donate, thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
If you’re not, sharing this or keeping Samson and his family in your thoughts means just as much.

This family has already shown extraordinary strength. With compassion, community, and love behind them, they will not face this fight alone.

Thank you for reading. Thank you for caring.
