Supporting Renata and Alice in Memory of Victor

It’s hard to find the words for something this big - something that changed our lives so deeply and so suddenly. But I want to share a little about Victor, the journey we’ve been through, and why I’ve created this page.

Victor was diagnosed with cancer in late 2023. It began in his kidney, and after surgery to remove it, we learned it was a rare and aggressive type. Because it had already spread to some lymph nodes, he began chemotherapy and immunotherapy soon after. By February 2025, we were full of hope, the scans were encouraging, and it looked like we were beating it. But in March, everything changed. The cancer had returned, this time in his spine and brain. Victor bravely underwent radiation and continued to fight with the same quiet strength, positivity, and grace he carried through every part of his life. But even with all his strength and courage, it progressed far too quickly.

On April 22, 2025, our world changed forever. We lost Victor - my husband, Alice’s incredible dad, and the heart of our little family. Victor was the kind of person everyone wanted around. He was funny, endlessly curious, and incredibly intelligent. He could talk to anyone about anything. He had the most generous heart, always ready to help, and a sense of humor that lifted every room he entered. He was my ride or die, my partner in crime, and we had so many dreams we still hoped to pursue together. The weight of this loss is indescribable. Life without him feels overwhelming, and each day brings a new wave of heartache - especially as I support Alice through losing someone who was her whole world.

Many people have asked if there’s a way to help, and while it’s not easy for me to ask, I’ve come to understand that this page is not just about financial support, but about creating space for the love and care that friends and loved ones want to offer.

Right now, we are doing okay. But I know that transitioning to a single income will bring new challenges over time.

More than anything, your support is a reminder that we’re not alone, that we’re surrounded by love - and that means the world as Alice and I begin to navigate this new chapter.

With all my heart,
Renata
