Supporting Remington

Donation protected
Hi, I'm Samantha. Remington's mom. I'm normally not the one to ask for anything however this is something I can't fix myself. Remington is a twin, he was born at 36 weeks and 5 weeks causing him to spend his first 10 days of life in the NICU. This coming Monday will be 2 weeks since he been home with us.
Remy will be three weeks tomorrow and currently on life support at our children's hospital. Tuesday I had taken him to his pediatrician for thrush. She had informed it was pretty bad but we could give him oral meds and he would be okay. I asked why he wasn't eating as much as he normally would. She said the thrush would make him not want to eat but as long as he was taking in some, he was fine! Wednesday my husband and I went to pick up his new medicine. We noticed he was pale when putting him in the car. My husband decided to stop in Zaxby's parking lot to check on our son. Thank God he did. That is when we found our son blue and not breathing. I immediately became CPR on Remy while my husband was on the phone with 9-1-1. We was taken to Monroe hospital. His temperature was check and his temp was very low so we had to immediately warm him up. A doctor came in to look him over and our son stopped breathing again. Eleven doctors flooded our hospital room to bring our son back. They had to put him on a vent to have him breathe. Because Monroe hospital isn't suited for someone being vented they had to transfer him. We waited for over an hour to get him approved for somewhere because they was no beds available at alot of the children's hospitals. We found a bed available at Hemby Children's Hospital. We was informed since he is vented he has to be flown out. We waited for the helicopter to arrive for our son to be air lifted. My husband and I had to drive to the hospital he went to. By the time we got there, he was put on life support. This morning we got news we didn't want to hear. He had some type of brain infection they are treating. They drew multiple things of blood so they could figure out what type of infection we are fighting. Around 2 pm today, they did a spinal tap to test for meningitis. We have no answers on what type of infection we are fighting. Remy is sedated so he is comfortable. With our baby in the hospital my husband and I are NOT leaving him alone. Which is why we made this go fund me. Anything will help us during this scary and unknown time. Medical bills will be piling up because we don't know how long he will even be in the hospital. My husband and I won't be working until our son is home or some time afterwards. So we will have our everyday bills piling up as well. If you could donate just $5 would make a difference. If you cant donate please just pray really hard for our son. He hasn't had it easy, I'm just praying we have answers very soon so we know where to go from here.

Thank you everyone.
