As many of you know, Paul is a dearly loved and respected participant of Tackling Minds. He has been attending our sessions for a number years, where he found friendship, peace, and the healing power of fishing. Sadly, Paul has now been given only weeks or months to live due to a terminal lung condition.

Since recording his recent update, Paul has sadly not been well enough to attend our sessions. He remains hopeful and positive that he might be able to join us again, but at present his health is preventing him from being out on the bank with us. He has told us how much love he has felt from reading the kind comments from our supporters, which have lifted his spirits enormously.

Paul’s biggest worry right now is not just his health, but the financial burden of ensuring he can have the send off he wishes. He shared with us that this is weighing heavily on his mind.

That is why we are reaching out to you, our amazing community, to ask if you can contribute whatever you can to help ease Paul’s worries and give him peace of mind in these difficult times.

This fundraiser has been set up by Tackling Minds CIC at Paul’s request. We have Paul’s full written consent to collect donations on his behalf.

All funds raised will go directly towards Paul’s wishes — to cover the costs of his funeral. Paul has also asked that if the fundraiser exceeds the target, any additional funds will be donated to Tackling Minds to continue running the fishing sessions that he has benefitted from and that mean so much to him.

We will ensure that all donations are handled openly and transparently, with a clear record of what is passed to Paul and what, if any, is retained by Tackling Minds as per Paul’s written wishes.

We’ll also keep you updated on Paul’s journey and how the funds are being used, just as Paul has asked, so he can continue to feel the love and support from all of you.
