Dear Montessori Country Day II parents,
As you know, our school will be closed until further notice due to the COVID-19 outbreak. During this closure, our teachers will have interrupted income, which may mean financial insecurity for them until the school reopens. This volunteer effort is for MCD II parents to support our wonderful teachers with a gift during these trying times.
The current goal set up here is $15,000. With 15 teachers on staff, if we can reach our goal, this will give each teacher $1000. Since we don’t know how long the closure may last, this should provide some relief to the teachers during this uncertain time. If we can exceed the set goal here, that would be wonderful and a huge help to our teachers and their families! Having said that, I know these are hard times for everyone, so please only donate what you can and do not feel pressured to participate. Every little bit helps.
We have a separate account dedicated to this Go Fund Me campaign. Your donation will be tracked and added into a common fund for all the staff. If you wish to remain anonymous, that's possible. This Go Fund Me is set to close on WEDNESDAY, APRIL 8th. After closing, the total will be split evenly, and each teacher will receive a check from that account.
I am one of the MCD II parents and happy to answer any questions you might have regarding this campaign. It is all transparent.
