Supporting our friend, Abigail

Dear Friends,

Many of you know that our dear colleague Abigail Grubb lost her home to a fire on Monday afternoon at about 2:30pm. Like many of us, she was in the middle of a work meeting, then suddenly had to leave her place as the fire progressed quickly through the top floor of the building. All residents were evacuated safely, and Abigail’s cat Walter was found unharmed late that night. But today she and her partner Andy are faced with the reality of rebuilding after losing their apartment and their belongings. The building’s structural integrity is compromised, and Abigail’s apartment suffered the worst damage.

We can’t replace the heirlooms and treasures; hopefully a few can be salvaged. However, Abigail and Andy must replace everything and find a new home. We are asking their community to support wherever you can. The daily essentials as well as furniture, clothing, work equipment, photography and media equipment, and storage are making up the list of big needs.
