Hi everyone,

This is a message we never imagined having to share. Over the last month, our sweet Aaliyah has been facing some unexpected health complications. She has been hospitalized a few times and we are currently waiting for referrals and specialist appointments as her doctors believe there may be an underlying issue with her heart.

Through all of this, Tim and I have been by her side every step of the way. Tim has had to miss a lot of work for everything that has been going on and he’s now out of vacation days and paid time off. While his job has been incredibly understanding, the ongoing challenges have affected his work performance and he is currently taking time away from work so we can focus fully on Aaliyah’s care.

We are in the process of applying for partial pay benefits for him but until that is approved, we are without income. Asking for help is something we truly never take lightly. We have been blessed in the past during difficult times and your support has meant more than we could ever express. Our priority is keeping our little family afloat while navigating this frightening and emotional journey.

At the moment, our biggest concerns are covering essential bills and groceries. Aaliyah has specific food restrictions which makes grocery shopping a little more challenging and costly. Any support; whether a donation, sharing this fundraiser, or even sending a grocery gift card would mean the world to us.

If you are unable to donate, please don’t worry. Your prayers, love and kindness are just as important to us. We know this time of year is difficult for so many and we hold deep gratitude for anyone who takes even a moment to read our story.
