Salam!
My name is Salman and I always wonder where my Janaza will be prayed!
Sometimes, I am reminded of a quiet but growing reality in our community — we simply do not have enough mosques for the number of Muslims who wish to pray.

Every Friday, our mosques struggle to accommodate the growing number of worshippers. Many are forced to hold two or even three Friday congregations just so everyone has a chance to pray. Even then, space is limited, and the feeling remains that our community has outgrown the places we rely on.

During the blessed month of Ramadan and on the joyful days of Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha, this challenge becomes even more apparent. Large gatherings require us to rent halls or temporary spaces so that families can come together in prayer. But even this is uncertain. Sometimes we cannot find spaces to rent at all, leaving our community searching for a place to gather during the most important moments of the year.

Many of our mosques today operate in leased locations. While we are grateful for these spaces, they come with many restrictions—rules about how the space can be used, limits on parking, and constraints that prevent the mosque from fully serving the needs of the community.

It often feels like we are guests in places that should be our home.

I dream of a future where our community can own the spaces where our mosques stand. A place where we are not limited by leases or restrictions. A place where prayer can happen freely, where families can gather without worry, and where the mosque can truly serve the community in every way it was meant to.

But this dream is not only about today.

If we do not act now, our next generation may struggle even more to find places to pray. Our children and grandchildren deserve to grow up with mosques that welcome them, guide them, and bring the community together.

Owning our mosque would mean more than just having a building. It would mean stability, independence, and the ability to grow alongside our community. It would mean creating a space that serves worshippers today and secures a place for future generations.

For this reason, I am raising funds for Islamic Community Center of Milton, so that together we can establish and support spaces that truly belong to our community—places where we can pray, gather, and serve one another without limitation.

Together, we have the opportunity to build something lasting — a home for faith, community, and generations to come.

Today, I invite you to be part of this vision. Your support can help build a mosque that will serve our community, strengthen our faith, and leave a lasting legacy for generations to come.
