Most of you know me as Lannie (Alanna) North but for sweet Chloe I was Aunty Lannie.
As an Aunty, writing this is something I never imagined I would have to do.
Our family has been shattered by the loss of our beautiful little Chloe who was 8 when she died in an accident in Japan whilst on a family holiday to see the snow for the very first time. She was so deeply loved — by her parents Daniel and Fairlee, by her big sister Hallee, and by all of us who were lucky enough to know her, love her, be friends with her and watch her grow. Losing her has left our family heartbroken in ways words can’t truly explain.
Right now, my sister and her husband are doing everything they can to hold their little family together through the unimaginable. Their focus is on grieving the loss of their precious daughter and, just as importantly, supporting Hallee, who has lost her little sister and best friend. Hallee is carrying a pain no child should have to carry, and she needs time, stability, and professional support to help her process this loss and begin healing, along with Fairlee and Dan who need to navigate supporting Hallee whilst also managing their own grief and recovery.
To be there for Hallee and for each other, Dan and Fairlee will have to take time away from work. This time together is not optional — it is essential. But stepping away from work will create financial strain at a time when they have no emotional space to worry about bills, counselling costs, or day‑to‑day expenses.
That is why I am asking for help.
Funds raised will go toward:
• Allowing Dan and Fair to take the required time away from work to grieve Chloe and support Hallee the best they can
• Counselling and specialised grief support for Hallee and themselves
• Grief‑related medical and wellbeing expenses
• Everyday living costs during this incredibly difficult period
This fundraiser isn’t about fixing the unfixable. It’s about giving my sister, her husband, and Hallee the time and space to grieve, to heal, and to support one another without the added weight of financial stress.
If you are able to donate, no matter the amount, it will make a real difference to their family. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this page or keeping them in your thoughts means more than you know.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for your kindness, compassion, and support during the darkest time our family has ever faced.
With love and gratitude,
Lannie North
