Laura’s Legacy of Love
Making trauma-informed support accessible—before crisis hits

What This Fundraiser Does
This fund makes trauma-informed recovery support accessible to people living with PTSD, complex trauma, addiction, ADHD, and Autism—especially those who have been left to cope alone.

Your donation helps create safe, compassionate spaces for individuals experiencing nervous-system overwhelm, long-term trauma, and recovery challenges. Many supported are neurodivergent and need care that is flexible, understanding, and grounded in lived experience.

With your support, we can offer low-cost or free coaching, group support, and workshops to people who cannot afford traditional mental health services.

Why This Matters
Too many people are told they are “not unwell enough,” left on long waiting lists, or misunderstood entirely. Early, trauma-informed support can prevent crisis—but for many, it simply isn’t accessible.

This fundraiser exists so fewer people fall through the cracks.

Laura’s Story
For decades, Laura lived with undiagnosed PTSD, quietly surviving without understanding what was happening to her. Over time, this developed into Complex PTSD alongside significant physical and emotional strain. Like many trauma survivors, she learned how to endure—rather than heal.

In 2025, Laura was diagnosed as neurodivergent, with ADHD and Autism. This didn’t change who she was; it gave language to a lifetime of unseen battles and resilience.

Despite her own challenges, Laura has always been driven to help others.

A Life of Service
Laura has spent her career supporting some of the most vulnerable people in society—those facing homelessness, addiction, severe mental health challenges, trauma, and neurodivergence. She has managed frontline social care services for children exposed to sexual exploitation, county lines, and profound abuse.

In 2021, Laura’s father—an ex-veteran—died by suicide. His death reinforced a painful truth: even those who have served can be left without adequate support.

Turning Pain into Purpose
Alongside her own recovery from trauma, addiction, and burnout, Laura trained as a therapist and coach. She now combines professional skill with lived experience to support others navigating PTSD, trauma, addiction, and recovery.

Laura’s Legacy of Love was born from that purpose.

Community Impact
This fundraiser supports individuals aged 16+, before crisis point.

Your support helps to:

Reduce suicide risk and support recovery from PTSD, anxiety, depression, ADHD, and Autism

Relieve pressure on overstretched mental health services through early intervention

Reach people excluded by service thresholds or long waiting lists

Strengthen families and prevent breakdown

Reduce substance misuse, exploitation, and criminal justice involvement

How Funds Are Used
Donations directly support:

Trauma-safe spaces for PTSD, complex trauma, and addiction recovery

Practitioner time, supervision, and ethical safeguarding

Nervous-system regulation resources tailored to neurodivergent minds

Access for those facing poverty, stigma, or isolation

Essential insurance and operational costs to keep everyone safe

Every contribution goes back into the community.
