Supporting Maggie and Will After Losing Both Parents

Donation protected
Maggie and Will Ahern need their community's help. These "kids" just lost their last surviving parent at the ages of 20 and 22 and now they are facing the realities of adulthood alone. Maggie and Will will appreciate your support as they navigate their next steps in becoming independent at a very young age.

Shortly after getting back on their feet after losing their father, Joe Ahern, in August 2022, the family was hit with even more devastating news. Their mother, Cathy, was diagnosed with Glioblastoma, an aggressive brain cancer, which she battled for approximately 15 months. Cathy just passed away after the new year.

Will is currently a sophomore in college and needs to finish his degree. Maggie is working an entry level position as a teacher at a local Catholic school. They face many challenges ahead without the guidance, support, affection, and love of two living parents.

As true Delco natives, Joe was a vibrant soul who connected and joked with everyone, and Cathy was a mom to all, a friend to all, and a pillar of support that couldn't go unnoticed.

Your support, of any amount no matter how small, will greatly assist Maggie and Will as they face relocating, student loans, and getting Will his drivers license and a car. Thank you for helping Joe and Cathy's children.
