Supporting Lydia’s Journey that no one should face alone…

For those of you who don't know her already, this is Lydia, you're priviledged if you already know her and about to be blessed if you don't yet. My best friend for 30 years and an amazing single Mum to 2 beautiful children, Arielle who is 6 and Jahriah who just turned 4. For the past 18 months, Lydia has been battling Breast Cancer and in September 2024, was told she was finally in remission, an all clear scan with no evidence of disease. We were so excited for 2025 to be her best one yet. Fast forward to Christmas and she knew something wasn't right, aches and pains, headaches and strange symptoms, Lydia insisted on having further scans. Only to be told that the cancer had spread to her brain, secondary cancer with multiple brain tumours. This news has floored all of those around her but Lydia is so positive, brave and more determined than ever. Her first treatment starts today with the brain specialists in Nottingham but the road ahead is a lot less simple, unfortunately with the cancer spreading to where it has, Lydia will face ongoing treatment for the rest of her life. With this being said, I for one cannot sit back and watch her face this alone or struggling and would be so grateful to anyone who would like to join me in raising money for Lydia and her babies to enjoy life and make this whole process that little bit easier. I know something like this was never a thought in her mind, but sometimes when we feel so helpless, it’s special to feel we’re able to help in any small way. With money raised, I want her to be able to organise days out in-between treatment, go on those holidays she always dreams of, buy that indulgent treat, be able to get to and from places after having to surrender her license and be able to afford anything she may need. Days ahead aren't going to be easy, but with friends and family by her side, things may not seem as difficult. Lydia has been unable to work for the past 21 months since her diagnosis and it’s about time she was able to enjoy some of the finer things alongside her journey. I want to thank you in advance for your kindness in helping me help Lydia, Arielle, Jahriah and her family through this extremely challenging time. Lydia has assured me that she wants to keep everyone updated regularly along the way and I hope you follow us along to support the ride. Together, WE will get her through ❤️
