On the 27th of December, our much-loved Libby Jacobs (24) was involved in a horrific car accident and has since been in a coma. Libby works at The Flying Childers and is a devoted mum to her beautiful five year old son, Hunter, whose world has been turned upside down while his mum fights to recover in intensive care.

Libby’s family are travelling to the hospital every single day to be by her side, incurring significant costs in fuel and car parking at a time when the last thing they should be worrying about is money.

Libby’s mum, Vonnie, has spent her career as a nurse caring for others. Now, while she focuses on being there for her daughter and grandson during this incredibly difficult time, she is having to take unpaid time off work, adding further financial pressure to an already heartbreaking situation.

With the family’s permission, this GoFundMe has been set up to help support them during this time. They are a proud family who would never normally ask for help, but right now they are facing circumstances no one could prepare for.

Funds raised will go towards easing everyday expenses such as travel and parking costs, as well as helping to provide Hunter with activities to keep him supported, occupied, and gently distracted while his mum remains in intensive care. Creating moments of normality and joy for him during this time is incredibly important.
