Supporting Launceston, One Step at a Time (Down a Viaduct)
Donation protected
Hi, I’m Daniel Brewer, a local business owner and social entrepreneur with a heart rooted firmly in Launceston. I believe investment capital should follow values, make an impact, be re-used, and do it all over again. I’ve spent my life inspired by people who do good, not for personal gain, but because they care.
As Chief Executive of Resonance, based here in Launceston, and a proud member of the Launceston Community Development Trust, I’ve seen first-hand how small actions – when driven by the community – can create lasting change. That’s why I’m raising funds for the Trust, a charitable community benefit society formed in 2016 with one mission: to do good things for Launceston and its people.
From opening up the beautiful Pennygillam Woods to pushing forward genuinely affordable housing close to the town centre, and working on plans for a much-needed multi-purpose sports pitch and clubhouse, the Trust is helping to shape the future of our town in real, tangible ways.
On Saturday 3rd May 2025 at 10.30am, I’ll be taking on an epic challenge: abseiling 151ft from Meldon Viaduct. Yes, it’s high. Yes, I’m a bit nervous. But with a few brave friends and the whole community in mind, I’ll be descending that drop to help raise vital funds to make these projects a reality.
If you believe in Launceston – in its future, its young people, its green spaces, and its communities, please consider supporting me. Every donation, no matter the size, helps fuel something bigger than any one of us.
Let’s do this together.
Thank you,
Daniel
