Claire and Keron's two‑year‑old son Kiros has recently been diagnosed with Stage 4 high-risk Neuroblastoma. Around 100 children in the UK are diagnosed each year with this cancer and most are under 5 years old.

Kiros is now undergoing regular chemotherapy during which he has already needed several blood/platelets transfusions. Beyond that, Kiros will most likely need surgery and High Dose Chemotherapy, which will require stem cell harvesting/ transplant meaning isolation at the hospital. Radiotherapy and immunotherapies mean spending several days or even weeks at a time in hospital for each round. The treatment plan for Neuroblatoma can last for up to two years.

It’s a demanding routine for such a young child, and it shapes life for the whole family.

Alongside caring for their little one through treatment, Claire and her husband Keron are also juggling the needs of their two other children, work commitments, and the constant logistics of hospital trips, this can be multiple times in a day, and also recovery days. The practical pressures build quickly — travel, childcare, meals between appointments and the general disruption that comes with repeated hospital stays.

This fund is simply here to give the family some breathing room while they focus on supporting all three children through an incredibly tough period.
