<div>Claire and Keron's two‑year‑old son Kiros has recently been diagnosed with Stage 4 high-risk Neuroblastoma. Around 100 children in the UK are diagnosed each year with this cancer and most are under 5 years old.

<div>Kiros is now undergoing regular chemotherapy during which he has already needed several blood/platelets transfusions. Beyond that, Kiros will most likely need surgery and High Dose Chemotherapy, which will require stem cell harvesting/  transplant meaning isolation at the hospital. Radiotherapy and immunotherapies mean spending several days or even weeks at a time in hospital for each round. The treatment plan for Neuroblatoma can last for up to two years.

<div>It’s a demanding routine for such a young child, and it shapes life for the whole family.

<div>Alongside caring for their little one through treatment, Claire and her husband Keron are also juggling the needs of their two other children, work commitments, and the constant logistics of hospital trips, this can be multiple times in a day, and also recovery days. The practical pressures build quickly — travel, childcare, meals between appointments and the general disruption that comes with repeated hospital stays.

<div>On <strong>5th January 2025</strong>, our world changed in an instant. Gilly suffered a sudden seizure without warning and collapsed into her dad's arms. <div>Determined to fight, Gilly underwent <strong>rapid brain surgery on 16th January</strong>, where an incredible UK National Health Service (NHS) team managed achieve a <strong>near-total resection the brain tumour</strong>. Now, as she progresses with <strong>NHS standard radiotherapy and chemotherapy</strong>, we are focused on giving her the best possible chance at survival.

<div>Cancerous brain tumours are relentless, and while standard treatments help, they are not enough. Gilly needs <strong>Targeted Therapies or Immunotherapy</strong>, which are groundbreaking treatments that have shown <strong>promising results in extending and improving quality of life</strong>.

<div>However, this treatment is <strong>not available on the NHS</strong> and comes with an <strong>overwhelming price tag of £250,000</strong>. Without it, Gilly’s chances are drastically reduced - but with it, she has a real <strong>fighting chance to kick cancer</strong>.

Support Gilly's Fight Against Brain Tumour Cancer

I have set up a go fund me for my cousin, Angel Lynn.  Angel was involved in a serious incident in September 2020 where she was found on a dual carriage way in Leicestershire with life threatening injuries. Angel is a beautiful, funny and caring 19 year old girl who can no longer walk, talk or eat by herself, and needs 24 hour care. The two young men Chay Bowskill, Angel’s boyfriend at the time, and his friend Rocco Sansome kidnapped Angel soon before being found on the dual carriageway. The sentencing has resulted in Chay Bowskill being charged with kidnap and controlling and coercive behaviour but was however cleared of ‘intentionally causing her grievous bodily harm’. He was sentenced to 7 and a half years. Rocco Sansome was also charged with kidnap and received a sentence of 21 months. We are still hoping and praying Angel will fully recover. What we would like to do is raise as much money as possible to aid Angels recovery with anything she needs. In order for Angel to return home she will need a lot of equipment to help her rehabilitation. Please help to get Angel home by raising as much money possible for Angel to give her the help she deserves. The response we have had so far is amazing and it’s great that Angel’s story is helping to raise awareness for other young girls going through anything similar. We as a family all appreciate everyone’s support and donations from friends, the public and the police.
