Hi everyone,
We’re reaching out during a time our family never expected to face.
Keith is currently under the care of specialists at the University of Washington in Seattle for a rare soft tissue tumor. While we won’t know for certain what we’re dealing with until a biopsy is completed, his specialist feels hopeful that this may be a Solitary Fibrous Tumor (SFT). We are holding tightly to that hope.
Keith will be undergoing a major surgery that will require 4–5 days in the hospital, followed by an estimated two-month recovery period. During this time, Keith will be unable to work as he focuses on healing and regaining strength.
Keith recently started a new job, and unfortunately, his employer health benefits have not yet gone into effect. He does currently have state insurance, but we are unsure how much of the surgery, hospital stay, and follow-up care will be covered. At this time, it is also unclear whether his new position will be held during his recovery.
I will be able to continue working, but I will need to take time off to be present for Keith during surgery, hospitalization, and the early part of his recovery. Between medical expenses, travel to and from Seattle, time off work, and everyday living costs, this situation places a significant financial strain on our family.
How the funds will help
Donations will help cover:
Medical expenses not fully covered by insurance.
Hospital stay, testing, and follow-up care.
Travel costs related to treatment at UW Seattle.
Household bills and daily living expenses during recovery.
Any amount helps—whether through a donation, sharing this page, or keeping us in your thoughts and prayers. We are incredibly grateful for the love and support we’ve already received.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for standing with us during this difficult and uncertain time.
With gratitude,
Autumn & Keith
