How do you start something like this?! My name is Danielle and this year one of the best people I know was diagnosed with cancer.
You never think something like this will happen to someone close to you until it does.
Earlier this year, Jade, someone who has always lived life to the fullest with energy and joy, was diagnosed with metastatic stage 4 bowel cancer. After months of feeling unwell and searching for answers, scans revealed a tumour in her bowel. Jade bravely underwent surgery, but heartbreakingly, the cancer has since spread and is now inoperable.
At just 37 years old, Jade is now facing the toughest challenge of her life. She is currently undergoing chemotherapy while also exploring holistic and complementary therapies alongside her treatment, many of which come with significant additional costs.
Jade lives in Chepstow with her fiancé, Brad and her beloved one-year-old puppy, Sika, who she very much considers her child. In the midst of all of this, Jade and her fiancé are preparing to get married this June, a moment that means more now than ever.
Anyone who knows Jade knows how deeply she cherishes the people around her and the simple, meaningful moments in life. Right now, our goal is to support her in every way we can, the same way that she has supported us.
Jade loves deeply and you feel this whether near or far. Once you become a member of her chosen family, you feel it in every possible way.
We have created this page to help ease some of the financial pressure during this incredibly difficult time, supporting treatment costs, holistic therapies, travel to appointments, and everyday living expenses so that Jade can focus on what matters most, her health, her upcoming wedding, and spending precious time with her fiancé, Sika, and the people she loves.
If you are able to donate, whether it is loose change from the back of the sofa or something more, every contribution will make a real difference and will be deeply appreciated. No amount is too small.
If you are unable to donate, sharing this page would mean the world and help us reach others who may be able to support.
Jade is one of the strongest, most positive people we know, and she continues to face this journey with incredible courage and love. We are holding onto hope and are so grateful to have you standing alongside her.
In the face of a diagnosis like this, some may be swallowed by grief; this is not Jade. Jade is never a passenger; she is fierce and strong, vulnerable, and soft. She has carried the weight of this awful situation with poise and positivity, now it is our turn to support in the best, most effective way we can.
More recently, Jade has discovered a treatment centre that could benefit her prognosis. This is at a cost of £30,000, so this is our initial target.
Thank you so much for your kindness, generosity, and for standing with Jade and her family during this incredibly difficult time.
We're going to give this fight everything we have.
