I am working with the Ester Marie Hatton Center for Women in Cincinnati this holiday season, to provide a Christmas dinner on December 20th (see details below if you are willing to volunteer at this event or provide a dish) and I am also raising funds so I can help provide the women living there, with some basic necessities. I would like to provide these funds to the Center on December 20th.
This can be a stressful time of year for many and it's even more stressful for those struggling with homelessness. I know many of you have causes near and dear to your hearts that you already support, BUT, if any of you are open to supporting this cause, I would greatly appreciate your support!!! No amount is too small. ALL proceeds will go to the center.
The Ester Marie Hatton Center for Women ensures homeless women in Cincinnati have access to basic human needs such as shelter, food, emergency clothing items, basic toiletries, and safety. They currently has 75 women that they are currently serving. The goal of the center is to transition these women into permanent housing in 30 days or less with an increase in income.
***Anyone willing to assist the night of the Christmas dinner, Friday December 20th, we will be serving 75 women. We do have some food items already donated but could use more (main and side dishes, desserts, drinks, etc). You can bring or drop-off your favorite dish! You do not have to bring enough for 75 people, honestly, we just appreciate being able to offer these women a loving and hot meal, prepared by the community that is rallying behind them to get back on their feet.
I do need several volunteers that evening to help serve and clean up after the event. This could be a great opportunity for a mom or a dad to bring their of-age kid(s) to help out in our community. I do however, want to maintain the privacy of the residents and not exploit them by taking photographs for social media.
These women are so grateful for the time and care that we can provide them, to ensure they leave the Esther Marie Hatton Center stronger, more independent and able to care for themselves, as well maintain employment. I appreciate any help that you all are able to give!!
