As most of you already know, little Otto has been through a lot since being born with Tetralogy of Fallot (TOF). Holli and Ollie had been preparing for his heart surgery in the coming weeks, but following his recent CT scan, Otto sadly experienced a Tet spell in hospital, with his oxygen levels dropping very low.
The doctors felt it was no longer safe for him to wait, and he was admitted to Evelina London Children’s Hospital for his operation.
We’re incredibly relieved to say that Otto had his surgery yesterday and, thankfully, it was successful. He is now in PICU being closely monitored and, once he is ready, will move onto the ward where he is likely to remain for another week or two while he recovers.
Holli and Ollie have understandably put everything else aside to be with their little boy. Holli is still on maternity leave, while Ollie is self-employed and is unable to work while he is in London supporting Otto.
We’ve set up this GoFundMe simply to take away some of the financial pressure while they focus on Otto.
With mortgage payments, bills and everyday expenses continuing, alongside the additional costs of being in London, we don’t want Holli and Ollie having to worry about how they’re going to manage financially on top of everything else they’re going through.
There’s absolutely no pressure to donate, but if you’re able to contribute anything at all, we know it would mean so much to them. And if you can’t donate, simply sharing the page or sending them a little bit of love and support means just as much.
Thank you to everyone who has already checked in, sent messages, donated or simply kept Otto in your thoughts. It really does mean the world.
We’re so proud of you, Otto. Keep fighting little man - we can’t wait to see you home!
