Hello everyone,

I’m reaching out on behalf of my dear friend Julia Goncalves and the Goncalves family. On Sunday, October 5, 2025, their world was turned upside down when Julia’s beloved dad, Joao, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer. Joao chose to spend his final days surrounded by his family at home. He was an incredible man; strong, kind, and inspiring to everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

As the family was beginning to navigate their grief, tragedy struck again. On the night of October 10, Julia’s truck was stolen right out of their driveway. It was later found abandoned, completely stripped, and set on fire. This wasn’t just any truck; Julia and her dad had worked on it together. It was a cherished reminder of their bond, making this loss feel even more personal and heartbreaking.

Julia is now facing the unimaginable: grieving the loss of her father while also dealing with the destruction of something so meaningful to her, and being left without a vehicle.
