Supporting Gloria After the Loss of Her Husband, Jose

Our dear family friend, Gloria, has recently suffered the heartbreaking loss of her husband, Jose, after his courageous battle with gastric cancer. During the months of his illness, Gloria lovingly put her work aside to care for him full-time. Now, as she faces life without him, she is also left with the difficult reality of catching up on bills and daily expenses while she works to get back on her feet.

For me personally, Gloria has been a part of my life since I met Genevieve in the 6th grade. I remember as a kid, I spent every day after school at her house because my mom worked until much after school let out. Gloria always made me feel loved and welcomed and after all these years I consider her like another mom. I think many of us can recall a time when Gloria opened her doors, her heart, and her generosity to us without hesitation. That’s simply who she is.

Now it’s our chance to be there for her. We are reaching out to friends and family to ask, if you are able, to donate whatever you can. No amount is too small—every contribution will help Gloria cover her immediate expenses and give her the space to heal without the added stress of financial worry.
