This summer, I am traveling to Ghana to volunteer with Projects Abroad in the Akwapim Hills, where I’ll be caring for young children. The project is designed to enhance the learning environment for children by supporting teachers and improving school facilities. I’ll help lead educational activities, build handwashing stations to improve hygiene, and participate in environmental projects such as tree planting and creating ponds. These efforts address resource shortages and promote sustainable practices, aiming for a lasting positive impact on the local community.

Ghana holds a special place in my heart, as it is my ancestral home on my father’s side. Not only is this an incredible way for me to give back to the global community, but it’s also an opportunity to immerse myself in the culture and history of the Ghanaian people.

The funds raised through your generous donations will help cover my airfare, room and board with a host family, and the various fees required by Projects Abroad. I am deeply grateful for any contributions as I prepare for this amazing journey!
