Farah is a single mother rebuilding her life in Canada under circumstances few of us can fully imagine. Like many immigrant parents, she works tirelessly to provide stability for her child—but her challenges go far beyond financial hardship.
Her daughter, Soha, was diagnosed with autism and developmental delay relatively late and requires specialized one-to-one educational support at school. This level of care is essential for Soha’s development, but it also places ongoing emotional, logistical, and financial pressure on Farah as a sole caregiver.
Before coming to Canada, Farah lived a very different life. In Bangladesh, she held a senior professional role at Unilever, earning a strong income and building a respected career. She was also a successful food entrepreneur and social-media influencer, known for empowering women and creating economic opportunities through her work.
Everything changed following Soha’s late diagnosis, a painful divorce, and a period of political persecution that escalated into court actions that dismantled Farah’s career, finances, and professional network. Forced to start over in a new country, Farah now faces the reality of rebuilding from the ground up—with limited resources and no established support system.
This campaign has a clear and focused goal:
(1) Provide monthly financial support for Soha’s specialized treatment and educational needs
(2) Help cover essential household utilities to reduce daily financial stress
(3) Support Farah in restarting her social-media presence, rebuilding the food entrepreneurship brand she once successfully operated
(4) Enable Farah to transition from survival to economic contribution, creating jobs and becoming a positive example of immigrant resilience within the Canadian economy
This is not a short-term or easy journey. But with consistent monthly giving, Farah will share real progress, measurable milestones, and meaningful outcomes. This support is not charity alone—it is an investment in recovery, dignity, and long-term impact.
Farah does not ask to be rescued. She asks for the time, stability, and support needed to stand back up—and give back even more.
About the Fund Manager: South Vancouver Family Place (SVFP)
South Vancouver Family Place Society (SVFP) is the fund manager for this campaign and has directly come to know Farah and her daughter Soha through its community-based family support programs. Through this relationship, SVFP gained a clear understanding of Farah’s situation as a single immigrant mother caring for a child with autism and developmental delay, as well as the long-term pressures she faces balancing caregiving, financial stability, and personal recovery.
SVFP believes that Farah’s challenges require not only short-term assistance, but structured, consistent support that allows her to rebuild at a sustainable pace. As the community partner overseeing the support process, SVFP will receive the funds raised through this campaign and administer them to support Soha’s specialized care, essential household needs, and other reasonable family supports identified through its programs.
Beyond managing the funds, SVFP is also committed to encouraging Farah’s long-term path toward stability and independence. This includes supporting her efforts to restart her social-media and food entrepreneurship work—an area where Farah has proven experience and confidence. With SVFP’s guidance and accountability, the goal is to help transform ongoing support into long-term independence and positive community impact.

The Role of Mr. 6 Foundation
This project was originally conceived and initiated by a high school student in Richmond who wanted to help a struggling immigrant mother in the community. What began as a small personal effort to raise awareness has gradually grown into a real community initiative, with volunteers and local organizations stepping in to support the effort.
Mr. 6 Foundation is helping organize and promote this campaign so that Farah’s story can reach people who may wish to help. The foundation provides coordination, outreach, and operational support to run the fundraising effort and connect it with trusted community partners.
Donations from this GoFundMe campaign are collected through the Mr. 6 Foundation initiative. After GoFundMe’s standard platform and payment processing fees are deducted, the remaining funds are transferred to South Vancouver Family Place Society (SVFP), which manages and distributes the funds to support Farah and her daughter Soha.
Mr. 6 Foundation is not a registered charity and does not issue charitable tax receipts. Its role in this initiative is to help mobilize community support and ensure the campaign operates transparently and responsibly in collaboration with SVFP.
Through this collaboration, the goal is to ensure that community support reaches Farah in a transparent and accountable way while helping her rebuild stability for her family.
