Supporting Family in Memory of Paj Zoo Lis (Bee Lee)
In loving memory of Paj Zoo Lis (Bee Lee) who passed away on October 3. He was a devoted father, husband, brother, uncle, and grandfather. He grew up as a kid during the Vietnam War and watched many of his brothers and uncles fighting and dying alongside Americans. This traumatic event left a lasting impact on his life as he continued to recount many stories of the war even up to his dying days. As a young father and husband, when the communists attacked their village in the middle of the night, he and our mom carried their 2 young daughters on their backs and trekked through the jungles and swam across the Mekong River to a refugee camp in Thailand, eventually making their way to America with his parents, siblings, and family. Family meant everything to him. He demonstrated this devotion to family his entire life through the love he showed for his parents, his kids, his siblings, their kids, and everyone in his family. He was known for his funny and caring nature but especially for his bold personality and his creative and flashy Hmong clothes that he personally designed and sewed. From flowers to dragons to flashing lights and more, he proudly wore his fantastical Hmong outfits everywhere he went, always attracting big crowds and making new friends. It was a sight to see and he touched many lives. He and his wonderful outfits will be sorely missed.
A memorial service will be held from October 12 - 13 and burial on October 14 to celebrate his life and legacy at:
