Right now, families in our community are living in fear.

Due to increased ICE activity, many community members are unable to safely leave their homes. Parents are missing work. Families can’t safely go to the grocery store, attend medical appointments, or carry on with daily life. Some households have already experienced detention and separation, and many more are trying to avoid that risk entirely.

We want to help people survive this moment with dignity and to remind them that they are not alone. We want families to know that their community sees them, values them, and will show up when it matters.

No one should have to choose between their safety and paying rent, buying food, or caring for their children. Funds collected will be used to provide direct financial support to families impacted by current ICE activity and help cover essential needs, including:

• Rent and utility bills

• Groceries and basic household necessities

• Childcare and transportation needs

• Short-term income support so families can stay home and stay safe

The funds raised will be used to subsidize two our staff members paychecks; who are taking time off for their safety. This money will ensure they can pay their rent, utility, and grocery bills in the interim.

This fundraiser is managed by the owner of Mojo Coffee Gallery, Jacob. He is responsible for the distribution of funds in the form of checks to the employees who have been affected. These funds will be directly gifted in the form of check to MZ and JH, two of his employees who have spent years cooking for our community and providing nourishment.
