Supporting Eli in Becoming a Big Brother

It's official! We've begun the process to adopt Eli a baby brother! As many of you know, this has long been a dream of ours and it is finally coming true. It's been a long process to identify how, when, and where to be able to find the perfect 'one' and we're ecstatic to announce that we will be adopting a boy from either Haiti or Burundi. (We're hoping for Haiti - it holds a special place in our hearts.)
We've partnered with All God's Children and will be continuing through the process of completing the home study, identifying our new love, scheduling multiple visits to meet him in person, receiving adoption authorization, and completing the Visa process. (I'm worn out just typing all of that!)
Spoiler alert: this process is not cheap. Every smile, prayer, and penny that you share with us will go directly towards helping us fund this new joy. The total cost of the entire process is upwards of $40,000 (and no, that's not a mistype), but it's worth every penny to finally be able to achieve this dream that we've had for so long and make Eli a big brother.
Speaking of which, in order to protect Eli, we will not be letting him know about this process until we've been placed and confirmed with our new love, so please know that this is confidential with Eli and not to be mentioned when you see him. He's been asking for a baby brother for almost as long as he could talk, so we're eager to give him his wish, but want to also ensure that he isn't set up for heartbreak.
We will absolutely continue to update you on how the process is going and genuinely appreciate your support and well-wishes.
