Our mom, who many of you know and love as Eddy, was very recently diagnosed with Stage 0 breast cancer (DCIS). While this news has been overwhelming, we are incredibly grateful it was caught early. There are still several tests ahead, both before and after surgery, to fully understand what her recovery process will look like.

On February 4th she will be undergoing a bilateral mastectomy with reconstruction, a major procedure that will require significant healing time. Although her insurance will cover most of the costs, she is still responsible for 15% of the medical expenses up to a certain amount (waiting on that specific number), along with copays. On top of that, she will be out of work for at least 6–8 weeks as she focuses on recovery.

My brothers and I are doing everything we can to support her during this time, but we are reaching out to our community for a little extra help. Any contribution, no matter the amount, would mean more than we can express and will go directly toward easing the financial burden so she can focus on healing.
