Don Enrique and his community need our support

Don Enrique Lopez is healer in the Shipibo community and through his work he supports countless families who live with very humble means in an very isolated area 70km outside Iquitos in the Peruvian Amazon. Iquitos is inaccessible by road and all supplies are brought in by river or aircraft or grown locally.
If you've been fortunate to get to know Don Enrique you will understand the deep, sincere and tireless devotion he has for sharing the tradition of Shipibo healing with foreigners.
Perhaps you've not met Don Enrique yet but have benefited from sitting with one of his students whose work would not be possible without his teachings and continued support.
Don Enrique's employs many women and men from the local community who are some of the hardest working and warm hearted people I've had the pleasure of meeting.
Peru has been under strict lock down since the 15th of March. As a result there has been no income at his center and for many families who depend on tourism to support their loved ones. The situation is becoming increasingly difficult as lock downs continue to be extended.
Don Enrique and his community need some support during this difficult time.
Access to basic necessities, including food, are becoming difficult. Some of us have been helping Don Enrique privately but we cannot possibly send enough money individually to keep him, his family, and his employees afloat. We created this GoFundMe to pool resources to help Don Enrique get through this pandemic
We've all been affected by this global situation, it's a challenging time financially for all yet even a small donation will go a long way for Don Enrique and those who depend on his support.
