We are setting up this page to support Char and her children, Beau and Leah, during an incredibly difficult and uncertain time.

Char’s partner, Alex (and Beau and Leah’s dad) is currently in intensive care in Kings College Hospital in London following a serious accident. He is in a coma with a severe brain injury and a fractured spine. His condition is critical, and while we are hoping he remains stable enough to begin coming out of the coma, the road ahead is unknown. Alex still faces at least two more surgeries, and recovery, whatever that may look like, will take time.

Right now, Char is taking each day as it comes, balancing being there for Alex while also caring for Beau and Leah. With Alex in ICU, Char needs to be close to the hospital, which brings significant additional costs at a time when everything feels overwhelming.

This fundraiser is to help ease some of the practical pressures Char is facing over the coming months, including:

• Accommodation near the hospital in London

• Petrol and travel costs to and from the hospital and Beaus school

• Rent a driveway (as the hospital has no available parking)

• Food and maybe some everyday essentials for Beau and Leah

Our hope is that by coming together, we can offer Char some breathing room, so she can focus on being there for Alex and the children without the added stress of financial worry.
