Supporting Bereaved Parents in Milton Keynes

My name is Ursula and I am taking part in the MK Winter Half Marathon on the 10th December as a Nordic Walker.

I am raising money for the MK Bereaved Parent Group. This group means a lot to me. As a paediatric nurse I sadly saw too many children dying over the years and realised that there was nothing for Bereaved Parents. A colleague and I set up this group 2009 and it is still going strong. Parents can share their pain and can talk about their child as much as they need to.

The group has used the money raised over the years for their monthly meetings and buying a Christmas tree for the annual Tree Service. This event is very important for the families as the loss of their child escalates during this time.

I will be thinking of each family who lost a child during my half marathon.

Any donation will be greatfully received and will guarantee that the bereaved parent group can continue.
