On March 22, 2026, Esme had an emergency C-section and Baby E was born at just 25 weeks, weighing only 1.6 lbs. He is currently intubated in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), fighting every moment to grow stronger.

Morgan and Esme, both registered nurses, are devoted to their son and as a result are unable to work at the moment. They are traveling daily from Las Cruces to El Paso to be by his side - a journey that is both physically and financially exhausting.

At just one week old, Baby E is already proving himself to be strong, determined, and incredibly resilient. Like all micro-preemies, his days are filled with ups and downs - set backs, triumphs and moments that feel nothing short of miraculous.

The road ahead is long, with an estimated homecoming planned for July. Until then, Morgan and Esme face months of round trip travel, lost income, mounting bills, and the emotional challenge of leaving their fragile baby each day.

They would never ask for help themselves, so we are asking on their behalf. Every donation, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference - helping cover travel costs, daily expenses, and the financial stress that comes with caring for a preemie.
