Better care for Christopher

As many of you know, Brenda and Chris were blessed with twin baby boys at only 24 weeks of pregnancy and have had many months of ups and downs.
A little history of their story is unfortunately, after Brenda was told if she ever wanted to conceive, she wouldn't be able to do so the traditional way. She would have to do IVF if she ever wanted a family. After years of hoping and praying for a baby, she was able to save the money to go through the expensive process and they were blessed with these perfect angels.
The unexpected premature birth of the twins, baby D' Angelo and baby Chris has been a rollercoaster of emotions and health issues. Many stressful, sleepless nights for Chris and Brenda. They have lived in the hospital since the end of March/ beginning of April of 2020, the twins were born April 13, 2020.
Both boys have faced many struggles and have fought to make it this far, both boys have their own unique story. We are thankful that D' Angelo was progressing and was able to go home late last year.
Chris and Brenda have alternated caring for the boys solely by themselves, for months, while at Stanford Children's Hospital. The hospital is about an hour away from any family. One day one parent is with one baby and the other is with the other baby. We are thankful that Baby D' Angelo is thriving and home now but unfortunately, this is about baby Chris because he is not home nor is he getting the medical attention and care he deserves.
The constant struggles with baby Chris has caused them to both be present with baby Chris. He needs constant attention and supervision. There have been many incidents of malpractice or negligence that caused baby Chris to decline in his health within the 10 months of his stay at Stanford Children's Hospital. Many incidents that caused his parents to have meetings with the hospitals managers and directors. Unfortunately, not only do the doctors not know what is going on with baby Chris, they continue to neglect him setting him back with his health.
This baby is a fighter, he has faced many challenges and infections that shouldn't have happened, that caused him pain and suffering but this week, we had enough.
Over the last couple of weeks, baby Chris has had a hard time, none of the staff know what's going on with him and he continues to decline day after day. His parents have asked to be transferred many times, in hopes of receiving better care. We hope to have doctors that will figure out what is wrong and find a solution. He is not an experiment, he deserves to have answers and the proper care. Unfortunately, they continue to hit a brick wall with transferring him and now it has come to a point where we must pay for the cost of transferring him, if we want him transferred. This is not the first time his parents have asked to be transferred somewhere else, but we hope it will be the last.
On February 2nd, Brenda and Chris decided to go back to their place to shower and try to sleep, which they NEVER DO. They are constantly by his side. Brenda warned his nurse that he constantly needs supervision, he can easy pull his plugs out, Brenda seen him do it twice that day, she asked her to please monitor him carefully at all times. As, it is a known fact that he needs 24 hour supervision.
Brenda received a call at 2 a.m. stating that she should come to the hospital. She was told something was going on with baby Chris. No sense of urgency in the nurses voice, just that she should come. Chris and her rushed over immediately. Upon arriving at the hospital, they were told baby Chris had been off his ventilator and flatlined for 7 minutes, they had to perform CPR in order to bring him back, as his body laid lifeless for 7 minutes. Where was the nurse? Not attending to baby Chris!!
The hospital is always trying to cover themselves or trying to cover their acts of negligence. This is unacceptable. We can not sit back and continue to neglect baby Chris. We want him transferred. It would be nice to have the hospital or insurance cover this transfer but incase they don't, we are trying to raise money to move him.
We will use every avenue to get him the attention and care he needs. We are asking that if you can please help us move him out of Stanford Children's Hospital where he has lived his whole life, with very little progress. Anything helps, please share this link as well as send prayers to all of us. We serve a mighty God and believe he can and will heal baby Chris but in the meantime, we cant just sit back and do nothing.
Thank you so much for the continues prayers, love and support.
