Supporting Liliah and Her Parents
Kyle and LeAnna Bowes excitedly awaited the arrival of their precious baby due to be born in October. On Sunday, June 14th, LeAnna’s water broke at only 23 weeks. Kyle quickly brought her to the ER and the doctors began to monitor both baby and mom. The immediate goal was to keep baby growing inside mom for as long as possible. Prayers were answered and with the help of the talented and inspired doctors LeAnna was able to make it another 3 weeks. Liliah Ahava Bowes was born on July 3rd weighing 2.2 lbs and 14.5 inches long.
There is still much to pray for as she continues to grow and the doctors will be continually watching her development. "It was special and hard seeing Liliah so vulnerable. She's had a few bumpy moments, but she's pressing through so bravely. Please pray for no brain bleeds and for the right lung in particular! Nothing too scary, she's just being closely monitored and had to have a couple of steps of preventative procedures. She is stable and wrapped her tiny little hand around the tip of my finger to show me how strong she is." Kyle said in one message.
LeAnna is doing well, and happy to be moving around again! The birth was very traumatic for mom, dad, and baby. Kyle shared how hard it was having his daughter in one place getting hooked up and stabilized after the birth, while his wife was hemorrhaging and heading to ICU.
Kyle and LeAnna are in good spirits and know that this is going to continue to come with its challenges and there's a long road ahead, especially in the next several weeks to come.
We would love to ask for your help in supporting our little sister and her husband Kyle. There are many unknowns right now in terms of medical costs, ability to work, and other expenses. We’ve set a goal of $10,000, but that’s really just a starting point. This money will go towards things like groceries, travel expenses, medical expenses, baby items, and other practical needs.
As always, the most important thing to do is pray. We would also ask and encourage you to share in the joy and gratitude that LeAnna and Kyle have in the Lord’s powerful hand of care and protection over this new precious life.
Thank you all for your continued support for this family and we will try to help keep you updated!
Sincerely,
Jonathan and Hannah Lindstrom
