Monday morning, Ariel experienced a heartbreaking and unimaginable loss. Her mother, Tina, passed away in a tragic house fire. Tina was not only Ariel’s mom, but her best friend, her support system, and a loving, devoted grandmother to her children.

Tina played such a big role in Ariel’s everyday life, she cared for Ariel’s kids while she worked, providing love, stability, and comfort that only a grandmother can give. In an instant, Ariel has lost both her mom and the person she trusted most to help care for her babies.

As Ariel takes time to grieve this sudden loss, she is also facing unexpected financial challenges. She does not have paid leave or PTO, meaning time away from work is time without income. On top of that, she now has to figure out childcare for her children, which adds another layer of stress during an already overwhelming time.

Ariel’s grandmother is graciously helping with funeral expenses, but Ariel still needs support to get through the coming weeks and months, covering basic living expenses, childcare, and giving her the space to mourn her mom without the immediate pressure of returning to work.
