I never thought I’d be writing something like this, but I’m doing it out of love for my sister, Anissa. At just 30 years old, and only months after welcoming her beautiful baby boy Jace, she received the life-changing news and was diagnosed with stage 3 Triple-negative breast cancer. What should have been a peaceful, joy-filled time of adjusting to new motherhood has instead become a season of appointments, treatments, and uncertainty.
If you know Anissa, you know how deeply she cares for others. She is always the first to show up, to help, to donate, to volunteer, and to quietly lift the people around her. Now, our family is doing everything we can to show up for her in the same way she has always shown up for everyone else.
She has already begun chemotherapy and immunotherapy, facing them with courage and determination. Instead of simply learning the rhythm of life with her newborn, Anissa is navigating intense treatment while recovering from childbirth and caring for her little boy. It’s an overwhelming load for any new mom, yet she continues to show remarkable strength every single day. She continues to show up for her son with steady patience and devotion that speaks volumes about the kind of mother she is.
We want her to have the space to focus on healing and being a mom, not worrying about finances or the added pressures that come with cancer treatment. That’s why we’ve created this GoFundMe. Funds will go toward treatment-related travel, childcare support on long hospital days, and the everyday costs that pile up when one parent is unable to work.
Anissa is determined to pour everything she has into getting well, for herself, for Kodi, and for baby Jace, who has already given her so much strength. We hope that with community support, she can stay focused on what matters most, raising her son and getting through treatment one step at a time.
If you’re able to help by donating, sharing, or simply keeping Anissa and her little family in your thoughts and prayers, we are deeply grateful. Your kindness truly makes a difference.
Thank you for standing beside Anissa as she fights this battle with courage, resilience, and love.
