Supporting Danielle & the Children After Andy’s Devastating Diagnosis

My name is Daniel Machell and, with Andy’s permission, I am creating this fundraiser to help support Danielle and the children through the most heartbreaking time imaginable.

Just a few weeks ago, Andy went into hospital suffering with headaches. Since then, everything has changed. Andy has now been diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumour which is sadly believed to be terminal.

Andy has been unable to work since being admitted to hospital, leaving Danielle facing the devastating reality of losing her partner and the family’s only income whilst trying to support and care for three young children on her own. One of the children has additional needs, which makes an already impossible situation even more difficult for Danielle.

Andy is genuinely one of the best people you could ever meet. We lived and worked side by side together on the Gas Network for many years and shared countless memories, laughs and good times along the way. Anyone who knows Andy will know how caring, genuine and selfless he is. He has always been the type of person to help anybody without hesitation and has a heart of gold.

Watching one of my best friends and his family go through this is absolutely devastating, and creating this fundraiser is the very least I can do to try and help ease some of the financial pressure Danielle and the children are now facing.

This fundraiser is not for funeral costs. Every donation will go directly towards helping Danielle and the children with day-to-day living expenses and providing some financial stability during the incredibly difficult months ahead.
